Zebrawood

Made with wood from the exotic Zebrawood tree. Microberlinia brazzavillensis is native to West Africa. Other species were called zebrawood in previous centuries. It is uniform in texture, unusual for high contrast rings. It has very large pores, bigger than those in walnut. Like most exotic woods the grain is interlocked, more challenging to work. I love to pair it with Black Walnut in a spindle.
