Purpleheart

Made with Purpleheart an exotic wood imported from Africa Peltogyne paniculata exhibits drastic color change. When freshly cut it can be a brilliant purple color. Time and light exposure eventually brings the final color a brown with purple tones. The wood is very dense with an interlocking grain common of exotics. At all the color stages it is a dark intriguing wood with open pores.
