Myrtle

Made with wood from the Umbellularia californica tree native to the West coast of the US it is also called California Bay Laurel, Oregon Myrtle, and many other common names. Myrtle wood draws you into the grain with almost a gem like reflections below the surface. I like to pair it with Black Walnut to bring out the natural dark patches. For a domestic wood Myrtle is expensive and uncommon.
