Threading Tool, Tulip Poplar

A Threading Tool is used to thread the leader yarn on some spinning wheels or to start the fiber through the hole of a diz. The loop bends easily to fit your needs.

Handle wood: Tulip Poplar
Handle dimensions: 2 1/2″ x 1″
Loop is Copper attached to the handle with Bronze.
Loop length: 4″
Total length: 6 3/4″

Dimensions are accurate within 1/4″. The length of the loop from the handle changes depending on its shape. Other names for this tool are threading loop, orifice hook, orifice loop, or threader.

Wood is a natural product, which can change color over time. Some woods have more obvious color change than others. Wood may bleach if left in direct sun; the temperature difference from the sunny side to the shaded side of the item can also have detrimental effects.
Tulip Poplar will retain any color contrast. However, all the green and purple shades will fade to a warm attractive brown. The lighter, white looking, coloration will become more cream color.
