Mini Niddy-Noddy, Cherry and Walnut

Use: Wind yarn into a skein and estimate length. This Mini Niddy-Noddy forms a 1/3 yard (12 inch) diameter skein or hank of yarn when using all four arms while you hold it by the handle.

Details: Yarn can stretch when winding the skein on a Niddy-Noddy. For an accurate length measure the yarn after removing it from the tool. The weight is included to assist in your decision. Designed and made by Cynthia D. Haney in her Virginia, USA workshop. Measurements are accurate within 1/4″.

Wood is a natural product, which can change color over time. Some woods have more obvious color change than others. Wood may bleach if left in direct sun; the temperature difference from the sunny side to the shaded side of the item can also have detrimental effects.
Cherry can look very pale when freshly cut. Over time, it will darken to the reddish brown usually associated with the wood. It is one of the few woods that most people are familiar with the aged look.
