Drop Spindle Sets
Spindle # 167 and display stand set with top whorl and stand in Tulip Poplar, the green will mature to a rich honey brown in time, and a ~ 10″ x 1/4″ Curly Ash shaft. 1.7 oz. 48g SOLDSpindle #21 Walnut rim weighed notched whorl on Maple shaft 10″ top whorl drop spindle 1.25 oz. with matching walnut stand. Sold.Spindle #54 Top whorl drop spindle of Sycamore on a 9.5″ x 1/4″ Sycamore shaft 1 oz. as set with a Sycamore stand. SOLDSpindle #36 Lacewood whorl on Maple 9.5″ shaft top whorl rim weighted notched drop spindle, 1.25oz. The difference in shape of this spindle to #35 is subtle. Lacewood is a very dense South American wood with a high mineral content, I do not plan to turn more of it due to the excess wear it puts on my turning tools. This one sold as set with a stand also of Lacewood. Sold.Spindle #34 Oak whorl on Maple 10″ shaft, top whorl rim weighted notched drop spindle, 1.5oz.
